St. Patrick's Day Parade & Faire

Dear Friends;

We're at that time of the year again; the holidays are behind us and the High Holiday's are approaching. As most of you know, last year's Parade and Faire were rained out after 140+ consecutive days of sunshine (so much for the "Luck of the Irish"). This year we are planning on a Parade and Faire to be remembered.

Our Grand Marshall is the Hon. Sandra Day O'Connor; our Irish Person of the Year is Steve Abberton. Both have contributed immensely to the modern history and growth of the Irish particularly here in Arizona and we are thrilled they have accepted our invitation to join us this year. If you haven't already looked, this year's festivities fall on St. Patrick's Day Saturday March 17th which can only enhance our attendance and cultural enrichment. The Parade will march down 3rd, Street from Virginia south to I-10. Last minute details are still being worked out but we would like to flow from the Parade directly into Hance Park (next to the Irish Cultural Center) for what promises to be "a great Irish Party".

Entertainment, food and refreshments, cultural exhibits, crafts and Irish vendors will be in attendance along with a "Children's Faire" area. We're going to have two year's of Parade/Faire anticipation and excitement all in one day so please plan to join us and enjoy being "Irish". I've attached several sponsorship opportunities to allow interested individuals and businesses to participate at levels that match their desires. Various levels of interest allow your business to contribute from a major sponsorship to a "friend" of the Irish; all are welcomed and appreciated. Please support our efforts to put an Irish stamp on Arizona on this our special day. Thank you in advance; I look forward to your being part of our celebration.

Sincerely;

Bernie Flynn, Vice President

Phoenix Saint Patrick's Day Parade Committee
