We are happy to invite dancers, parents, and teachers to our 19th Annual Feis in the Desert, to be held a the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort in Historic Downtown Chandler, Arizona.

The 17th Annual Feis in the Desert, an Irish step-dance competition, will be held at the Historic Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, January 19, 20 and 21, 2007.

A Vocal Competition from the Irish Tradition

Mary Yolanda Dowling

Mary Yolanda was taken from us in the World Trade Center disaster on September 11, 2001. Her passion for singing is the inspiration for this trophy with the hope that she will be remembered in the beautiful music shared in this competition.

* Vocal Categories: Solo or Group (5 voices or less)
* Solo category ages: Under 17 & Over 17
* What: Irish songs only, sung in English or Irish. Performances are to be 3-5 minutes in length. Singers may sing a capella or use background music that they must provide (live or CDs).
* A CD player and music stand will be available.
* When: Friday January 19, 2007; 6:30p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
* Reception: 6:30�7:30 � Hors d Oeurves and cash bar: 7:30 - Vocal competition
* Where: Crowne Plaza San Marcos Hotel and Golf Resort - Downtown Chandler (corner of Arizona Avenue and Chandler Blvd.)
* Details: Trophies will be awarded Friday night and a second performance may be requested of winners for Saturday or Sunday.
* Cost: $15.00 solos or $25.00 small groups (5 or less)
* To enter: email Sharon Anderson at duner@cox.net with song title/category/age group, and if CD player is required.
* Payments made and postmarked no later than January 6, 2007 to:
