Welsh League's own Jude Johnson
will discuss the vital role Welsh immigrants played in Arizona's Statehood,
from mining to the Apache Wars to Mormon settlers. Her latest book is a
nonfiction publication called Cactus Cymry: Influential Welsh in the
Southern Arizona Territory, which wrth gwrs, she'll have on hand.
She'll also lead an Arizona Centennial Quiz, with a prize or two available. And
if you know of any Welsh immigrants in the Valley of the Sun--famous or
infamous--bring the info for Jude to research; maybe there could be a Volume
Two, or Cactus Cymry: Phoenix edition.
